Message
Collect a full tube to the fill line, following standard venipuncture techniques. Do not over or under fill tubes as the ratio of blood to anticoagulant (9: 1) is necessary for accurate results. Gently Invert the tube three or four times immediately after venipuncture to ensure proper mixing of blood and anticoagulant.

Processing Instructions (Lab use only): If testing will be delayed (4 hours for inpatient or 12 hours for outpatient), centrifuge, transfer all plasma into a plastic vial, and centrifuge plasma again. Aliquot plasma into separate plastic vial leaving 0.25 mL in the bottom of centrifuged vial.
