Processing Instructions (Lab use only): Specimens that cannot be examined immediately may be placed in Amies transport medium (eSwab) for approximately 24 hours.Minimum Testing Volume: 1 mL saline Transport Temperature: Ambient Stability: Ambient: 2 hoursRefrigerated : UnacceptableFrozen: Unacceptable Causes for Rejection: Swabs submitted in tubes with greater than 2 mL saline, dry swabs without saline or swabs sent at incorrect temperatures.
