Hemoglobinopathy Evaluation without Hemogram

Message
Please note: If only normal hemoglobins are detected, the results will be reported within 24 hours. However, if any abnormal hemoglobins are present that require additional testing, turn-around time may take as long as 5 days. Specimens for Hemoglobin by Capillary Electrophoresis are stable for 7 days at refrigerator temperature. However, if a Hemogram is needed for accurate interpretation, the Hemogram portion is only stable for 3 days from the time of collection at refrigerator temperature. Metho Dology: Electronic Sizing and Counting/Cytometry, Capillary Electrophoresis, Solubility followed by, if necessary High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
