DI Water collection: Before culturing, clean the spigot with alcohol swabs and let air dry Collect water sample in a sterile, closed container large enough to hold the entire specimen allowing ample air space to allow mixing of the sample before plating Open D/I water spigot fully for a minimum of 2 minutes before sampling, then restrict the flow to fill the container without splashing Collect a minimum of 10 ml from the sample site
