Specimen should NOT contain blood.Minimum Testing Volume: 1.0 mL CSF Transport Temperature: Refrigerated Stability: Ambient: 24 hoursRefrigerated : 6 daysFrozen: > 1 year Avoid multiple freez/thaw cycles.Stored specimens must be inspected for particulates. If present, mix and centrifuge the specimen to remove particulates PRIOR to testing. Causes for Rejection: Unlabeled, mislabeled, wrong tube type, QNS.
