Platelet Antibody, Direct

Message
Collect a full tube, following standard venipuncture techniques. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Please note: Effective 11/01/96, specimens submitted in ACD tubes (yellow-top) will no longer be accepted because of the high incidence of platelet clumping associated with this anticoagulant. If the platelet count is less than 20,000/ccm, submit 7-10 mL of whole blood.
