Specimen Requirement: Serum Centrifuge serum specimens within 1 hour of collection. Transfer serum to screw-cap transport vial. Delayed separation of the serum can result in spuriously high levels of lysozyme, presumably because of the break down of leukocytes. Transport Temp: Refrigerated Specimen Stability: 15 days
