RECOMMENDED LABORATORY MONTIORING OF ANTOCOAGULATION THERAPY
To assist in anticoagulation, the following is a list of suggested laboratory tests that may be used to monitor therapy. Reference and therapeutic values are included with test results.
Warfarin: INR
Heparin: Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time (aPTT), anti_factor Xa
Low Molecular Weight Heparin: usually none. Anti-factor Xa, if needed
Argatroban: Activated Partial Thromboplastin time( aPTT)
Direct Thrombin Inhibitors: usually none
