Instructions
Internal Ear:
1. Cleanse the external canal with a mild antiseptic.
2. Insert sterile funnel and swab or aspirate the specimen from the eardrum or beyond.
3. If the eardrum is not perforated, the specimen should be collected only by a physician trained in this procedure.
4. Return swab to tube.
5. Maintain sterility and forward specimens promptly at ambient temperature.
