Patient Preparation
Avoid bananas, avocados, plums, eggplant, tomatoes, plantain, pineapple, walnuts, and interfering drugs for 72-hour period prior to and during collection. Plasma must be separated from cells within 45 minutes of venipuncture.

Send plasma in plastic transport tube. To avoid delays in turnaround time when requesting multiple tests on frozen samples, please submit separate frozen specimens for each test requested.
