Patient Preparation
  1. Bring doctor's order to any one of our off-site locations.  The injection will be given the following day.
  2. On the day of the injection go to the FHH Hospital to receive the injection.
  3. Use the Main Entrance and register with the Patient Access Department.
  4.  FHH Labs will need to know:
    •  Date Injection to be given (example- date or within 72 hrs)
    •  Greater than 20 weeks gestation (Y or N) 
    •  Is this an outpatient for prophylactic RhoGam? (Y or N)

Specimen Stability
Room Temperature: Do not store at room temperature
Refrigerated: 3 days for EDTA 14 days for clotted specimens
Frozen: Can not freeze


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Hemolyzed samples or samples contaminated with IV fluid are not acceptable.
