Instructions
APTT - Fill tube to proper level.


Transport Temperature
Room Temperature or if frozen be sure to place in frozen transport container containing dry ice.


Specimen Stability
  1. Room Temperature: Spun within 1 hour of collection and tested within 4 hours of collection. Refrigerated: 4 hours; Frozen: 2 weeks


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Blue top tubes over filled or under filled will be rejected. Clotted or grossly hemolyzed specimens, and specimens collected in any other anticoagulant other than Na Citrate. The specimen will be rejected and a proper sample will be requested.
