- Any promyelocytes or immature cells containing Auer Rods
- WBC count ≥30.0
- Platelet count ≥ 1,000
- MCV > 120 fL
- Absolute neuotrphil ≤ 0.5
- Absolute basophilia > 0.3
- Absolute monocytosis > 5.0
- Absolute lymphocytosis ≥ 5.0 (on patients > 13 years old)
- Any blasts present
- Any abnormal lymphocytes or lymphoma cells (first time or unknown patient)
- Any plasma cells
- Any bacteria, yeast, non RBC inclusions, or infectious organisms
- Any cryoglubulins
- Any hemolytic anemia
- Sickle cells (first time or unknown patient)
- Marked RBC abnormalities such as schistocytes
- Any dysplastic (hypolobated) neutrophils (≤ 2 lobes)
- Any congenital anomaly (Chediak-Higashi, May-Hegglin, Alder-Riley, Pegler Huet)
- NRBCs > 5 (on patients ≥ 18 years old)
- Anything abnormal or suspicious
- Any increase in abnormal cells from previous differential
