Instructions

⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠ParaClick®
1. Remove one of the tests from the cardboard holder.
2. Peel the protective film from the adhesive area- DO NOT TOUCH THE ADHESIVE AREA.
3. Gently press the adhesive area several times on the skin around the perianal area.
4. Fold the test to seal and protect the sample. The test will 'click' shut.
5. Place the used test in the plastic bag previously labelled with the collection date, seal the bag and place in the refrigerator.

Pinworm paddle
1. Remove the paddle from the plastic tube.
2. Gently press the paddle's sticky side over the perianal surface, spreading open the perianal folds.
3. Replace the paddle in the tube and submit refrigerated.

Scotch tape (perianal material)
1. Wearing gloves, place clear scotch tape's sticky side to the perianal area.
2. Place sticky side of tape to clear glass slide.
3. Replace the slide to the plastic carrier.
4. Submit refrigerated.

Refrigerated: 7 days
Frozen: Unacceptable

Clinical Significance
Enterobius vermicularis is a human pinworm that typically infects children and other family members. It is probable that Enterobius causes no symptoms in the majority of infected adults and children.
