Includes color, appearance, specific gravity, pH, protein, glucose, ketones, blood, bilirubin, urobilinogen, nitrites, leukocyte esterase, and microscopic examination of urine sediment  .  

Urine culture will be performed if the urinalysis result finds any one of the following:
1. 5-10 WBC/hpf, or greater
2. Positive Nitrite
3. Positive Bacteria 


Preferred Specimen

Container/Tube:Plastic urine container(s)
Specimen Volume: 12 mL from a random urine collection
Collection Instructions: No preservative.
