Includes color, appearance, specific gravity, pH, protein, glucose, ketones, blood, bilirubin, urobilinogen, nitrites, leukocyte esterase, and microscopic examination of urine sediment .

Urine culture will be performed if the urinalysis result finds any one of the following:
≥2+bacteria OR
Any 2 of 3 of the following:
1. Positive nitrite
2. >=10 WBC/hpf
3. Positive leukocyte esterase
If criteria is met but epithelial cells are ≥ 2+, no culture will be performed, and a Repeat Urinalysis will be ordered for a specimen recollection.

Specimen Volume: 12 mL from a random urine collection
Collection Instructions: No preservative.
