If a post exposure presents to the ED for treatment, and brings the source patient blood with them.  Lab staff should instruct the ED and admissions that the source patient will need to have a non-patient registration and the laboratory will order 'needlestick protocol-clinic', using the ED provider name who is treating the exposed individual.  If the source patient demographic information is not readily available for the admissions staff, they should obtain that from the exposed individual or company.

Rapid HIV results should be called if the registration is delayed.
