Most normal adults will have a low-titered cold agglutinin. Elevated levels are abnormal


Clinical Significance
 Useful for supporting diagnosis of primary atypical pneumonia infection with cirrhosis, gangrene, hemolytic anemia, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Raynaud’s disease, and diseases such as influenza and staphylococcemia
