Employee Exposure to Blood/Body Fluids
MessageWhat to do immediately after an exposure:
- Wash the affected area with soap and water; rinse mucous membranes with large amounts of water
- Notify your supervisor
- Initiate an Employee Injury or Condition Report
- Report immediately to Employee Health Services. After business hours page the Nursing Supervisor

Employee Health Services or the Nursing Supervisor will determine the need for employee bloodwork.
*There is no defined panel of tests to order for an employee exposure*
