Nasopharynx wash/aspirate or swab in saline or Universal Virus Transport Medium (UVTM).
Instructions
Aspirate not to exceed 3ml. Transport rayon or dacron swab in 1-2 ml saline in a sterile tube.

UVTM up to 48 hours at room or refrigeration temperatures.
Saline: Room temp. up to 4 hours, refrigerate up to 48 hours

Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Do not use calcium alginate swabs
