See report for normal ranges. PLEASE NOTE--Reference ranges may not be applicable in cases of reduced red cell survival (including hemoglobinopathies), recent transfusion, and administration of EPO.

 


 



Clinical Significance
The measurement of Hemoglobin A1c is accepted as a way of measuring long-term glucose control in patients with diabetes mellitus.
