Preferred Specimen

Naso Scrapings or broncial brushings for Electron Microscopy. Typically do 5 rhinoprobes and place scrapings and/or entire brush in < 4 mL EM Fixative (glutaraldehyde). Often do motility study at the same time. If motility is positive, do not order the EM.

EM Fixative is available from the CRMC Send Out department
