  1. Outer EAR CULTURE:  1-White-capped (aerobic) swab



  2. INNER EAR CULTURE/ASPIRATE: Label as Inner Ear Aspirate.  Aspirate with small syringe (by physician). Remove needle and send labeled syringe to lab. Alternatively, the fluid can be placed into a sterile vacutainer tube with no preservatives.
