Reference Range

P2YR Units:  194-418 PRU

The Verify Now P2Y12 test reports the PRU result.  P2Y12 Reaction Units (PRU) report the amount of P2Y12 receptor mediated aggregation specific to the platelet and is calculated as a function of the rate and extent of platelet aggregation in the ADP channel.

Patients not receiving the expected effect of their antiplatelet medication (PRU greater than 207) are at an increased risk of recurrent cardiovascular events such as stent thrombosis, myocardial infarction and death.
Patients receiving too much effect of their anitplatelet medications (PRU <95) are at a signicicantly increased risk for major bleeding.

% Inhibition PRU Threshold
10% 259
