Instructions
Body Fluids should be collected into either a Red Top Tube or a Lithium Heparinized  Green Top Tube. Separate specimens from blood cells as soon as possible. DO NOT use the following anticoagulants in collecting blood for use in this test: EDTA, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Fluoride or Oxalate.


Specimen Stability
Body fluid calcium is stable for one week at room temperature (15 - 25°C), approximately 22 days refrigerated at 2-8°C, and up to 1 year frozen at<= -20°C.

           <3 months:  7.5-10.5 mg/dL
           >3 months:  8.5-10.5 mg/dL
