Clinical Significance
Immunoglobulin G (IgG) accounts for 70% to 75% of the total immunoglobulins in plasma. The IgG reagent is used for the quantitative determination of IgG immmunoglobulins in human serum, plasma, and cerebrospinal fluid. Measurements of IgG are used in the diagnosis and treatment of abnormal protein metabolism, and the body's lack of ability to resist infectious agents.
