Clinical Significance

For differential diagnosis of primary, secondary, and tertiary hypothyroidism.This assay is a third generation product capable of detectingvaluesas low as0.01 mIU/L. Also useful in screening for hyperthyroidism.This assay allows adjustment ofexogenous thyroxine dosage in hypothyroid patients and in patients on suppressive thyroxine therapy for thyroid neoplasia.
