Clinical Significance
In vitro diagnostic test for the quantitative determination of rheumatoid factors in human plasma used as an aid in the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis.  70 - 90% of individuals with RA exhibit rheumatoid factors, which are autoantibodies against the Fc region of human IgG which has been altered in its tertiary structure.
