Clinical Significance
In vitro diagnostic test for the quantitative measurement of C-reative protein in human serum.  CRP is an acute phase reactant whose levels rise in response to infectious and non-infectious inflammatory processes.  Increased levels are non-specific and should be interpreted with complete clinical history.
