Clinical Significance
In vitro diagnostic test for the qualitative and semi-quantitative measurement of barbiturates in urine. Screen is used in the diagnosis and treatment of barbiturate use or overdose. An alternate method (Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry) must be used as a confirmatory result. Clinical consideration and professional judgment should be applied particularly when preliminary positive results are used.
