Instructions
Warm at 37 degrees for 15 minutes, gently inverting several times. Centrifuge, remove serum and store at room temp until testing.

Room Temperature up to 7 days


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Severe hemolysis interferes with the test and will result in a rejected specimen.

Clinical Significance
Determines the presence of cold reacting antibodies which may indicate primary atypical pneumonia, infection with M. pneumoniae. Test must incubate overnight. A fasting specimen is preferred to minimize the potential for turbidity due to triglycerides.
