Room temperature up to 2 days. Refrigerated samples will be accepted, but not preferred.


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)

Irretrievable samples will not be rejected.

Clinical Significance
The FISH assay uses selected markers (-5/5q-, -7/7q-, +8, -20/20q-) that are useful for detecting chromosomal abnormalities at diagnosis and prognostic assessment in patients with Myelodysplastic Syndrome.
