This test must be scheduled with the laboratory at the time the physician requests or at least 4 hours before the test is to be performed.
The order must be sent to the laboratory on a downtime form. It is NOT orderable in Cerner

Three (3) samples are collected:
  Baseline
  30 minutes after medication is administered
  60 minutes after medication is administered


Preferred Specimen
1.0 mL serum (0.5mL minimum)


Instructions
Nursing staff must notify lab to schedule test and provide order on a downtime requistion.
Laboratory staff will collect 3 samples (baseline, 30 minutes, 60 minutes)
