Methodology
The system measures the amount of β-HB in whole blood. The β-HB testing is based on the measurement of electrical current generated by the reaction of β-HB with the reagent of the strip. The meter measures the current, calculates the β-HB level, and displays the result. The strength of the current produced by the reaction depends on the quantity of β-HB in the blood sample.

Clinical Significance
