Instructions
Refrigerate urine during collection. Record duration of collection on requisition and container. Include patient height and weight.

80-120 ml/min/m2
Clinical Significance
Renal clearance is a measure of kidney functional capacity. Increased values can be found in acromegaly and burns. Decreased values may be found in acute and chronic pyelonephritis, glomerulonephritis, extrahepatic biliary obstruction, cirrhosis, polycystic kidney disease and renovascular hypertension.
