Room temperature: 8 hours, Refrigerated: 2 weeks, Frozen: 45 days


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Grossly hemolyzed specimens are unacceptable.


Reference Range
Therapeutic: 10.0-30.0 ug/ml


Clinical Significance
Acetaminophen is an analgesic/antipyretic and anti-inflammatory agent. At high levels, it may cause liver damage. ACTM levels can be used in the diagnosis and treatment of acetaminophen overdose.
