RHIG postpartum: RH Immune globulin should be given to an Rh Negative woman who delivers an Rh Positive infant or has a miscarriage/abortion of a fetus within 72 hours. This will prevent the development of the Rh antibody (Anti-D) by the mother. Blood Bank testing will determine the number of vials (dosage).
