Instructions
Container/Tube:  Pink-top (EDTA) tube
Specimen:   Full tube - entire 6-mL EDTA whole blood specimen in original VACUTAINER® Transport
Temperature:   Ambient Collection Instructions: Note:  Label Blood Bank armband insert with patient’s full name, history identification number, date and time of draw, and phlebotomist’s initials.
Stick adhesive label to 6-mL pink-top (EDTA) tube and insert bottom copy into green band.
Attach green armband to patient’s wrist or ankle. Information on tube must be complete.


Methodology
Tube Agglutination Note:   When this test is ordered, the patient and the specimen must be labeled with a Blood Bank armband. This enables an add-on of a type and screen or crossmatch without additional specimen requirement.
