Clinical Significance
17-Hydroxypregnenolone is useful in the diagnosis of 3-Beta-Hydroxylase enzyme deficiency, a rare cause of congenital adrenal hyperplasia, and 17-Hydroxylase (P450c17) enzyme deficiency.
