Any specimen collected on Friday and/or the weekday prior to a Holiday must be called by 2:00 pm for appropriate arrangements to be made: Contact Flow Cytometry (937-208-6687 or 1-800-686-2252 option 3, option 2).

Instructions
EDTA: Avoid Hemolysis, invert 10 times.

K3EDTA (lavender top) tube


Transport Temperature
Room Temperature and transport without delay.


Specimen Stability
Room Temperature = 24 hours post collection
Refrigerated = unacceptable
Frozen = unacceptable


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Rejected for gross hemolysis, clotted. Microcontainers; finger or heel sticks
