Instructions
Specimen Collection: (A.) May be collected with either the Pap-Perfect spatula and Cytobrush Plus GT brush or (b.) The provided Patette brush, following manufacters instructions. (C.) Place in ThinPrep PreserveCyt Solution Vial. (D.) Avoid taking GYN samples during menstruation. (E.)  For hormonal evaluation:  Sample must be collected from the mid-third vaginal wall with a spatula for ThinPrep.  Overlying inflammation will negate the value of this test.

SPECIMENS IN THIN PREP VIALS CAN BE STORED AT ROOM TEMPERATURE
DELIVERED TO THE LAB ASAP


Limitations
Note;  History should include patient's age, date of last menstrual period, presence of IUD and history of hormonal therapy, if any, in addition to the routine information required.  Please note if the patient is high risk for Squamous Intraepithelia Lesion (SIL) and a Cytobrush was used.
