Instructions
Place stool in sterile container provided by Doctor's office or Lab Personel. Cup must have pt's full name, full SSN and date/time the specimen was collected. Sterile container with no additive, received in the lab within 24hrs of collection. Room temperature (15-30°C) 1 mL minimum volume.

STERILE CUP RECEIVED IN LAB < 2HRS, OR Cary-Blair transport medium, 72 hours room temperature (15-30°C)

Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Unlabeled sample, improper temperature during transport. Not received in the lab in under 2 hrs,Stool received on swab.
Specimens received leaking.
