DRAW 2 GRAY TOP TUBES(POTASSIUM OXALATE SODIUM FLUORIDE) SEND TO LAB ON ICE. TRANSFER TO DHMC AS WHOLE BLOOD ON ICE WITHIN 4 HRS OF COLLECTION. NOTIFIY DHMC SAMPLE IS IN ROUTE. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL OR VOLATILE DISINFECTANS AT VENIPUNCTURE SITE. PLEASE INDICATE SUSPECTED GLYCOL INGESTION.


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Unlabeled sample, improper temperature during transport. Wrong sample collection. Delay in transport.
