One 6 mL RED top tube
Minimum Volume
2 1mL Aliquots of serum
Instructions
Samples must be centrifuged within two hours of collection. Serum must be removed from the red cells and put into at least two 1mL aliquots following centrifugation.
Transport Temperature
Frozen (two 1 mL aliquots)
Specimen Stability
Ambient: 2 hours
Frozen: 6 months (-70°C), freeze within 2 hours of collection.

Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Tube contaminated with heparin, gross hemolysis

Chemiluminescent immunoassay method performed on ACL AcuStar analyzers.

Monday thru Friday
Clinical Significance
Pathology will discuss positive results with provider. A reflex for SRA testing will be generated at that time.
