Nasopharyngeal swab: 2 mL media  
 


Instructions
USe viral transport media with flocked swab. 
Place specimens in the refrigerated Molecular Diagnostics rack.

Specimen Stability
Ambient: 3 days   Refrigerated: 7 days


Reject Criteria (Eg, hemolysis? Lipemia? Thaw/Other?)
Specimens in leaking containers will not be tested. Dry swabs, calcium alginate swabs, samples in bacterial transport systems, and body fluids will not be tested.
