Instructions

Sample must be centrifuged within two hours of collection. Serum/plasma must be removed from the red cells and put into aliquot tubes following centrifugation.

Clinical Significance

Assay measures the level of IgM antibody to Hepatitis A and is indicated when acute Hepatitis A is suspected. Generally, IgM antibodies to HAV (Hepatitis A Virus) appear four weeks after onset of clinical symptoms
