Clinical Significance
The ABO/Rh(D) and antibody screen procedure involves determining the recipient's ABO and Rh(D) type followed by a three-cell screening
panel to determine whether any unexpected antibodies are present in the recipient's serum (or plasma). If an antibody is detected, it is
identified using an antibody identification panel. These test results are NOT used for blood compatibility testing.
