Instructions
Collect 4 mL whole blood in a red-top tube (no gel). Clot at 37°C. Centrifuge at room temperature and immediately separate serum.

Note: If testing is for recent Mycoplasma pneumoniae exposure, Test Code 21130 -Mycoplasma pneumoniae Antibody (IgM), is recommended.

Clinical Significance
This test can be useful for the detection of cold agglutinins in association with cold agglutinin syndrome
