Clinical Significance
This test is useful for evaluating patients with rapid onset renal failure or pulmonary hemorrhage as an aid in the diagnosis of Goodpasture Syndrome which is characterized by lung hemorrhage, nephritis, and the presence of anti-GBM autoantibodies.
