Limitations
Assay performed by liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry.  This test was developed, and its performance characteristics determined, by Alverno Laboratories.  It has not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug administration (FDA).  The FDA has determined that such clearance or approval is not necessary.  This test is used for clinical purposes.


Reference Range
Therapeutic Range:
  • Liver and renal transplantation:  3 - 8 ng/mL
  • Tuberous sclerosis complex associated partial onset seizures and subependymal giant cell astrocytome (SEGA):  5 - 15 ng/mL

Optimize drug therapy and monitor patient adherence.
